there is currently SO much snow on our front lawn.
it started yesterday morning, and it's still going!
yesterday the wind was carriying the snow down the road
at about 7 MPH, and it's only died down to about five!
theres about two feet of snow in the front yard,
probably more in the back, and theres so much
that we had trouble opening the front door!
better yet? the cardinals flocking in our backyard make it really pretty! :-)
Update: my brother just went in the backyard.
he came back in, though, because it took him ten
minutes to walk through ten feet of snow.
My Name is Bridget, and this is my blog. You're not going to find anything too specific about hobbies or anything here. I just write whatever pops into my head. I treat this like a public journal, you know? So go ahead, read about my life, leave a comment, whatever.

to all, and to all a good night. :-P
my christmas this year was EPIC, and it's still not over.
i can't list all the awesome gifts i got, so i'll pick
three at random. eenie meenie minie moe...
okay. i got a wig, (a really fancy one.) those fancy japanese
socks with the big toe seperate, (VERY comfortable!)
and the ninth yotsuba book! (SQUEEEE!) i also discovered
that the author of yotsuba is gonna keep writing more!
i thought nine would've been an odd number to stop at!
anyhoo, about my christmas. our family has three christmas every year.
why? first we celebrate christmas eve at our aunt sally's house, (it's some german thing.)
then we celebrate christmas at home, and then we celebrate christmas
again at my grandma coulter's house. three times the presents! :-P
one last thing. this year, our tree was HUGE! how huge?
it was nine feet when we got it, and we had to chop off a foot,
cause we had to turn it sideways to fit it in the house!
i love christmas. :-D

ANOTHER POST!
yet another little update on my life.
my brother and my dad are doing something strange
in the front room. i just heard the sound of something
tapping loudly, then a scream and something dropping
on the floor, and then my brother singing.
o_O
UPDATE: my foot still hurts from the splinter,
and i just found out it was probably my dad
and my brother leaving for Stop & Shop

more posts!
okay, so me and my brother have become
fascinated with old fashioned toys and games,
following the invention of my brothers
super-tops. anyways, i would like to ask anyone who can
to comment on interesting old fashioned toys and games.
many thanks, and may you live long and prosper.

Splinters & Tops
hi! last night i got the biggest splinter ever.
it was about as long as this: I and wider than i've ever seen.
it hurt like hell to pull it out, and it bled too.
anyway, today i discovered that my brother is a top genius!
he has designed and built a variety of tops, that look cooler,
spin faster and stay up longer than the storebought variety.
he is currently designing tops specifically
for use in top battles. he also invented something called runners,
that is to say, it's like a large, thick coin with handles on the sides,
and when you spin the handles, it runs across the floor
as a single wheel. my brother is a genius! :-D

Bonsai & Petz5
guess what? my friend lucy just gave me a christmas present!
and guess what else? it's the best present ever!
guess what it is? it's a bonsai!
a cute little bonsai tree named Tohru!
(thats Tohru Chan, to you!)
happiness and joy!
more happiness too!
theres a game called Petz5, (best game ever.)
in which you own
and take care of virtual pets, right? well,
i recently installed the game on my computer,
and on mine, everytime i adopt a pet, exit the game
and come back later, its gone. sad, right?
wrong! because my brother installed it on his computer
for me, and now we're raising a young sheepdog named Mishi!
he is very cute, and athletic. i can't wait to see
what he looks like when he grows up! yay!

Documentaries & Anime.
hii! it's me again!
so, i've been spending a lot of time on netflix,
(if you don't know what it is, look it up.
i don't feel like explaining. :-P) and i recently found
this show called "Fruits Basket",
and it is TOTAL AWESOMENESS! i mean seriously,
it's good. it's about a family called the Sohma's,
who are under a curse. each of them is possesed
by the spirits of the chinese zodiac, so that
when they are under stress, or are hugged by members
of the opposite gender, they transform
into the animal of the chinese zodiac whose year they were born under.
the story is that a girl called tohru, stumbles upon them while living
in a tent, and soon ends up living with them. so i watched the
entire season, (theres only one. waaahh!) and after that i was still
craving more. until i found out that the show came from a
Shojo Manga series! (look up what that is. i don't feel like explaining.)
it turns out, that while there are 23 books in the series,
the tv show only covered the first eight, so i'm
looking forward to reading more. yay! you guys should really read it.
i have no doubt that you can find it at your local library,
as did i. okay, now to blabber on about documentaries.
i also found a lot of documentaries on netflix,
and found that it is my favorite genre. they are very informative,
especially this one i found called "dogs decoded."
in the movie, it tells us:
Dogs may bark solely to communicate with us.
A corporation in i-don't-know-where has been working
for half a century to domesticate silver foxes,
and has so far succeded.
if dogs were not domesticated, modern civilization
would not be possible. (watch it to find out why!)
and so, i end my post. goodbye, goodbye!
*blows kisses to the crowd*
oh, and before i go, the winner of the last poll was pencil.
pencil, give yourself a big hand! yay.
now please direct your attention once more in the
direction of the polls...
